Innovative Technology ITCDS-5000 Classic Retro Bluetooth Stereo System with CD Player, FM Radio, Aux-In, and Headphone Jack, Black and Silver

I got this as a gift for the woman... She likes to have a small system on the fridge in the kitchen and the old bookshelf stereo was slowly breaking down, so I gave her this for Christmas.

The first reason I chose this was simple... it's small. It's hard to find a good quality SMALL stereo system that has SEPARATE speakers.

The second reason I got it was the looks... it looks really nice; like one of the old analog JVC systems, just really small... neither one of us like the tacky, space age looking crap that they usually sell these days. Considering what this costs, this unit looks really nice.

It fits perfectly on our fridge and because it has separate speakers, we can install them anywhere we want in the kitchen... my only quip is with the speaker wire that was included with the unit... it's laughably short (maybe a foot at the most)... so I had to run out and buy a roll of speaker wire. With that aside, the speakers sound fine... they're small, yes - but they have plenty of power for a small to medium size room.

The FM reception is exquisite... probably the best reception I've heard on a home stereo... I was hesitant when I was installing the stereo and saw that it only had a small little wire antenna with NO optional ports for power antennas, but my concern was quashed once we tuned in our favorite stations... they were all perfectly clear! The only thing I wasn't aware of was that the unit does not have AM... not a big deal though, as we don't really listen to AM anymore.

The Bluetooth works without a hitch... I had our iPhones connected within a couple minutes and we were using Pandora, iTunes, et al, with ease... You do have to turn up the volume a bit when using Bluetooth as opposed to the radio, but who cares?

We don't really use CDs anymore, but I tested the player and it works fine.

Only other complaint is that the cool retro volume meters don't really start bouncing until you have the volume up to at least 25% of max volume... No big deal... they still look cool when they aren't moving.

So, this is a really good value and we're very happy with it!
