Sony XB20 Portable Wireless Speaker with Bluetooth
The sound out of this speaker completely blows away my old Jambox speakers. I'd like to outline a few major points in my review:
SIZE
This is about the size and weight of a "regular" water bottle ... the kind that you might slip into the outer side pocket of a backpack.
SOUND
The sound coming out of this speaker won't please the audiophile, but it sure pleases me! It's room-filling and the bass has a nice kick to it.

LIGHTS/APP
I downloaded the SoundPal app on my iPhone to customize the lighting on the speaker. You can also completely shut off the lights by pushing and holding the "Extra Bass" button for a few seconds. I can't see myself ever using the lights, but my kids sure dig it. The SoundPal app allow you to customize how the lights pulse or react to music.
Other notes:
- we use this in the bathroom and at the beach, so I appreciate it is water resistant
- the exterior has a soft velvety, rubbery finish
- although the speaker looks pill-shaped, there are two flat feet on the bottom to hold it in place.
