For HDMI Extender.I previously went out on a limb and ordered a set of ultra clarity branded 4k hdmi cables which ended up working flawlessly. No issues displaying 1080p 120hz or 4k 60hz or 3D. I needed an extension for an hdmi cable routed through the attic for the kitchen TV, so I ordered ultra clarity brand again. They did not disappoint. This may be my new favorite brand for high quality, low cost cables.
The signal didn't degrade, distort, cause any kind of discoloration, blur, or other visual defects from adding this extension. This was also added to a 35' monoprice cable (with the ferret cores removed to more easily snake through the wall) which was then routed through the ceiling into the attic and down another wall. When the TV displayed the same image quality with that setup as it had when I tested it earlier with a 10' cable coming strait from the box, it sold me.

While extending cables, adding connectors, and having a long run of cables typically isn't great for signal, I didn't have any issues with the aforementioned setup. It isn't technically ideal, but it works perfectly. Your best defense against signal degradation when you absolutely must use a connector or extension is using a proper good quality cable.
