HomeSpot APTX Bluetooth 4.2 Receiver Adapter for Home Stereo

Bookmark and Share

HomeSpot APTX Bluetooth is my third Bluetooth adapter and oh my is this one loaded. Where most others come with a place to plug in for power and to a device, this adapter comes with much more. It has a USB cable to charge and a power plug. The it has the AUX cord, and to top it off an RCA cable. Now... Who still uses RCA cables is beyond me.. But it is a nice touch.

From there, you plug the device into what you wish to make Bluetooth enabled, turn it on, pair and you are all set. Solid playing experience to about 25 feet before crackling, which is pretty standard. I didn't notice any audio quality issues with it either. What it does also do which I just heard about is supports Bluetooth aptX. Not sure what it is, but I will assume my phone has it and they made a point to highlight the feature.

And works great in a car dash. Hardwire it with a DC step-down converter. It turns on with car, doesn't require any button-pressing to pair, and connects automatically thereafter. The previous version ("HomeSpot NFC-Enabled Bluetooth Audio Receiver for Sound System") lasted four years before it gave up the ghost.
