(More customer reviews)After searching for the best budget component speakers, I put my faith in this well known brand, Kenwood. After visiting numerous department stores like Best Buy, Circuit City and the like, and listening to the quality of speakers including Alpine, RF, Pioneer and others - in my honest opinion, THESE ARE THE BEST COMPONENT SPEAKERS for the sub $100 range.
They are clear, not too sharp on the high tones, and they hit the lower frequencies just right. I have them hooked up to an MB Quart Discus 480 amp (Amazon has this listed as: AMP 4X80W @ 4 OHMS 4X160W @ 2 OHMS) and they are perfectly matched for the 80 Watt rms.
They are really capable of producing nice sound, and depending on your car - they can and will rattle the door panels at high volume :p - an inevitable side effect without using sound deadening material.
I guess you could call me an audiophile on a budget.... *but aren't we all? especially if we're buying things from Amazon?...
But if you're on the fence about finding a pair of components in this range.. Really, look no further... You'll be very very happy with this purchase.
