In other words, you don't have to load software onto your computer to use it (unlike many other bluetooth adapters). You plug in the D200 and computer sees it as an audio playback device. Its automatically selected as the default sound device, and when you unplug it, the default audio device reverts to what it was before using the D200. The D200 has 2 very favorable features: 1. Its only function is to be a stereo audio link to Bluetooth speakers or headphones. There's no sharing the Bluetooth link with other devices that can interrupt the sound. The second very favorable thing is that it's Class 1 - The bluetooth radio transmitter is more powerful than most Bluetooth devices. The powerful transmitter is also the D200's unfavorable feature. It can interfere with your wireless internet connection (It blasts into your laptop's wireless internet radio receiver, desensitizing it to the weaker WIFI signal, kind of like shouting in your ear while you're trying to listen to someone whispering. If you use the D200 to listen to Internet radio on your laptop, connected wirelessly to the internet, you may hear LOUD pops, clicks and crackles. The cure is to use a USB extension cable to move the D200 away from the computer.
