What Etekcity a remarkable little unit. After having a small problem with it, I contacted the Mfg Customer Support Team, and found myself corresponding by email with a delightful person named Alisa, and with the help of the company's team of Technical advisors, they kindly informed me that my problem was no problem at all, I just needed to initiate its use in a way different than how I had been using it. What a wonderful experience - people who really care about their company and the products they sel.
By the way, if anybody wondered, yes, apart from using it independent of the power/charger, it too can be used plugged in as well - its just that each needs to be started (turned on by pressing the nice large button on the top) -- as you would use it, after charging, [1.] either alone with no power cord plugged in, or [2.] with the cord plugged in, providing continuous power.
